Thanksgiving 2016

Greetings and warm wishes to everyone on this Thanksgiving 2016!

On behalf of the entire Corporate Board of Universal Brotherhood (most especially our Founders, Rick and Jeni Prigmore), I’d like to extend warm, embracing wishes laced with gratitude and kindness to all of our esteemed Ministers and their families.

Life gets so busy these days, and time seems to just fly by for all of us; too much to do and too many demands can be stressful.

I’d like to invite all of us (me included) to take a slow deep breath as we sit around the table on Thursday, and see the love coming back to us from everyone at the table. Family, friends, co-workers; new friends and old alike all benefit from a heart-felt smile and a cheery word of ease. Then imagine those blessings extending out beyond your home and into your community, the state, the country and the entire Universe as well.

“There’s a road that’s made of memories that goes from heart to heart. A path that spans the time and many miles we’ve all been apart. There’s a bridge of special feelings made of all the joys we share, and Thanksgiving is the perfect journey of warm thoughts from here to there.”

May your journey through this most special holiday be filled with love, laughter, happy moments and wonderful food.

With love and care to us all,

   Rosemary

Grace and Joy for Spring 2016

For many of us, Spring is already in the air, even though the Easter celebration is falling earlier than usual this year. No matter where you’re located in this vast Universal Brotherhood network of Ministers, my hope for each of you is that you are able to worship with whomever you choose, in the manner that best represents your deep connection to God and the Divine Spirit. May you find yourself in the company of people you love and who hold you in a sense of respect, love and high esteem.
As you come together in prayer, please remember the enormous power of prayers that are shared and joyfully scattered. Imagine your prayerful sentiments being deliberately sent across the globe and being warmly received by people everywhere. As we intentionally widen our circle of love and influence, we become the living embodiment of the Christ spirit in action.
For all of our Ministers who celebrate Passover, let us also extend early Passover blessings to each of you and your families for a reverent and joyful celebration beginning this year on April 23rd. May your Seder table be alight with the warmth and commitment of loved ones and family alike. May each of your 8 days of celebration reveal to you a deeper sense of connection and belonging.
As I’ve said previously, to me these sacred and holy traditions are meant to encompass introspection, reflection and deep forgiveness—forgiveness toward others as well as for ourselves. I don’t think it is an accident that the word forgiveness is mentioned 72 times in the New Testament. Are we being given a clue to the true means of attaining peace and wholeness? I believe so.
As always, I want you to know that you are being held in the Light by everyone on the Corporate Board of Universal Brotherhood, and by our Founders, Rick and Jeni Prigmore. You are a vital part of this wonderful organization and as such we extend to you the warm embrace of genuine affection and caring; I certainly hope you’re sensing that now.
May Grace allow you to rise higher and higher during these most special and joyful celebrations of Easter and Passover.
Blessings to you and to all those you hold dear,
Rosemary

The Promise of a New Day – A New Year

We wish you Grace & Beauty;

Glowing Good Health;

and Inspirations as you walk your Path.

Lovingly,

Rick and Jeni

Hello 2016

It’s rather hard to believe, but it’s time to bid 2015 farewell as we open ourselves to all of the possibilities and potential of the new year ahead ~ 2016!
A year from now I wonder who we all will be? We might just surprise ourselves!
What if we simply allowed ourselves to be enthusiastic at all of the possibilities just waiting to be discovered? What if we all had the courage to breathe our own brand of brilliance into a living, functioning form? What if we could all leave the past behind and only focus on the here and now as if our very lives depended upon it?
What if we all just agreed to have fun with our creativity and explored our highest potentials as we pretended no grown-up was watching or criticizing or belittling our efforts?
What if we just lived a joyful, courageous, compassionate life that focused on goodness and right action inspired by truth?
What if every person cleaned up their own messes and acted as if love was the fuel that propelled their every thought, plan or action?
It’s a lot to comprehend, but I believe we’re up to it.
For me, I’m going to work at staying present as I continue to express deep gratitude for my life and the opportunity to live. I appreciate so deeply my life, my home, my loved ones and friends who are like family to me. I appreciate my sweet canine companion, Cayce and all she teaches me and shares with me on a daily basis. I appreciate the opportunity to continue growing, changing, learning and exploring this thing called life. I appreciate my work and every client who finds their way to me.
And for our precious “beloveds” also knows as Universal Brotherhood Ministers ~ thank you for demonstrating what dedication and perseverance look like every day.  Thank you for continuing to maintain your commitment to your own personal ministry and to the original principles set forth by our Founders, Rick and Jeni Prigmore.
Although I have been a part of this esteemed organization since 1983, I remain humbled and gratified that I  have the opportunity to serve as President. No one works alone, and I stand on the shoulders of every UB President that has gone before me, along with our entire Corporate Board. In the company of our outstanding Administrator, Robin Morini, we strive every day of the year to keep our foundation strong as we continue to branch out and grow year after year. We cannot do that without each and every member and your continuing contributions in terms of newsletter articles, inspiration, time and financial backing. You are, after all, the face of UB to the world.
I believe that love is all that has ever mattered. I also understand that what we focus on increases tenfold, so I will be working on my focus and the outreach of UB in the New Year. As we approach 365 days of new opportunities, I’ll be focusing on love for myself so that I have more love for this wonderful organization known as Universal Brotherhood Movement, Inc.
May your life in the coming New Year be a testimony to all that you have been and all that you hope to be in the future. You have the support and the encouragement of the entire Corporate Board behind you. I only know two things with my entire being:  Divine Order always prevails and the best is yet to come! And so it is!
Blessings and love to you and to all those you hold dear,
Rosemary

As Another Year Comes To A Close…..

Dear Universal Brotherhood Ministers across the world,
On behalf of myself and the entire Corporate Board of UB, I want to extend our gratitude to each and every one of you for another year of service. All of us at UB give great thanks to each member for your continued service and dedication to your own, individual ministry and to the collective body that is UB.
As another year comes to a close, we look back in wonder at the good which Spirit has allowed us to accomplish this year. For every baptism, christening, wedding and end of life ceremony each UB Minister was privileged to perform, we extended our influence and our sense of caring light into the world. We have touched lives at the most important of moments and we have worked at being fully present to witness it all.
May each of you, in your own way, enjoy this beautiful season with the faith, peace, love and joy that it is meant to represent. Whether you’re a “Happy Hanukkah” or a “Merry Christmas” person, it’s the good intentions and happy thoughts that are meant to be conveyed.
With that in mind, may your journey into the New Year be willed with all of the love, joy and happiness your hearts and minds can hold.
Until next time, blessings to you and to all those you hold dear,
Rosemary

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving has always held a special place in my heart. I thoroughly enjoy the idea of serving others and of sharing my bounty with family and friends alike.
This year I’d like to issue a special invitation to Universal Brotherhood ministers around the world to help carry the torch of love and generosity of spirit to one and all.
This Thanksgiving, November 26, 2015, let us come together as a community of like-minded Americans and ministers to the people. By definition, we of Universal Brotherhood want to be of service and we want to spread a sense of hope and hospitality to everyone we encounter. Practice extending that consciousness of thanksgiving and service through your prayers and meditations and daily actions as a living and active work of light.
When we bless the feast this Thanksgiving Day, remember all of the troops stationed around the world, protecting our freedoms and our rights to enjoy such a quintessential American holiday. From the first toast to the last bit of pumpkin pie, treasure the moments and sit in deep gratitude.
Please know that you are held in the hearts and minds of not only the Founders of Universal Brotherhood, Rick and Jeni Prigmore, but every member of the Corporate Board, including our Administrator, Robin Morini. We shower you with love and genuine affection on a daily basis and are all better for your participation and your presence. May abundant blessings grace your life and the lives of all you hold dear.
A very happy Thanksgiving to you.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

Founded in the United States of America, Universal Brotherhood Movement is an international organization that has beloved members all over the world. And everywhere, there are celebrations of each nation’s birth or other important events.

In the United States, the country of UB’s founding, we celebrate the birth of our nation on July 4. We invite all to celebrate with us!

239 years ago in Philadelphia, PA a group of proud and feisty men, representing the 13 colonies of “The New America,” claimed their independence from England. In terms of universal time, 239 years is a small number; but in terms of our lives and the good fortune American citizens associate with our belonging here, it’s a magnificent number!

On Saturday July 4, 2015, in the middle of family parties, picnics, barbecues and the requisite fireworks that follow –  STOP – and reflect on the great good fortune you are actually celebrating. Pause to remember (this means taking your hats and caps off, gentlemen, and actually standing at attention) as you reflect on the sacrifices made by all those countless men and women who have fought for the freedoms we so liberally enjoy every day of the year.

In terms of lives lost and lives forever changed, 239 becomes an infinitely larger number, imbued with courage and faith, pride and deep trust. One of my most important spiritual teachers, Thomas R. Sandell, during a lecture in 1983 told a crowded conference room that “No one in this room has anything to complain about. We were all born in the United States of America and we are all American citizens, and that, my friends is incredibly good karma. Work with it!  Make something of yourself and stop complaining.”  I remember that day as if it were yesterday, and still get chills of affirmation at his words.

If you are an American citizen, whether born in this wonderful country or as a naturalized citizen, claim your pride in being an American and enjoy your weekend festivities to the fullest. As you watch those fireworks at the end of the day, recall the words to America the Beautiful:

“O beautiful for spacious skies,

For amber waves of grain,

For purple mountains majesties

Above the fruited plain!

America! America! God shed his grace on thee,

And crown thy good with brotherhood

From sea to shining sea!”

If reading brings you inspiration, may I suggest 1776 written by the brilliant biographer David McCullough in 2013.

As always, thank you for your service to UB, thank you for being a part of the love/healing and growth of the most wonderful country on earth, the United States of America.

Blessings to you and to all those you hold dear,

Memorial Day

Monday, May 24, 2015 marks the 147th celebration of Memorial Day.

General John Logan, the National Commander of the Grand Army of The Republic, “In an effort to unite a divided country following the Civil War,” originated “Decoration Day” on May 30, 1868.

Observed by 1890 in all northern states, “Decoration Day” was slow to gain momentum in the southern states until the close of World War I.  At that time, it was decided that the day should be celebrated as a way to honor the memory of all Americans who died fighting in any war at any time.

In 1971, Congress declared it a national holiday, officially changing the name to “Memorial Day” and moving it to the last Monday in May.

Here we are, 147 years later, still living in a world seemingly divided by politics, religion and ideological differences. It could be a sad commentary on the human condition, or we could turn it into the opportunity to come together in the spirit of honor, dignity and integrity.

That’s my choice! When I got up today I turned on the faucet and water came out; I flipped a switch and had electricity; my trash was collected and my mail delivered all with ease. These are just a few of the usual by-products of being an American. Privileges I hold dear and comforts I never want to be casual about. Somewhere, at some time, by someone wearing a uniform that represented this country – my freedoms – and yours were fought for. And won.

More than a 3-day holiday with lots of sales and plenty of partying, on this Memorial Day, please take a moment and pause to remember the shoulders on which the celebration rests.  My uncles and brothers all served in every branch of the Armed Forces, as I’m sure yours did and may well still be serving.

Perhaps you could join a Veteran’s Day parade, or visit a cemetery and place a wreath on the grave of someone’s child, husband, brother, son. If you’re out and see a Vets or those currently serving, take a moment to look them in the eye, shake their hand and say thank you.

You might also consider joining in the National Moment of Remembrance. The National Moment of Remembrance encourages all Americans to pause wherever they are at 3 p.m. local time on Memorial Day for a minute of silence to remember and honor those who have died in service to the nation.

I am so proud to have had the privilege to be born in this country and make an effort every day to help in “uniting a divided country” by healing the divisions within myself.

Thank you for your service, thank you for the celebration and for continuing to be a part of the love/healing and growth of the most wonderful country on earth, the United States of America. God Bless the USA!

All my best,

Easter & Passover Greetings 2015

Spring is in the air, and with it come the joyful celebrations of Easter and Passover. As we join together with beloved family and friends, sharing both prayer and meals, I would like to suggest that your prayers extend beyond those most dear and move outward to include our entire family of mankind. While loving those close, also make space in your hearts and your minds to extend Grace and Blessings to one and all.

To me, these sacred and holy traditions are meant to encompass introspection, reflection and deep forgiveness – forgiveness toward others as well as for ourselves. I don’t think it is an accident that the word forgiveness is mentioned 72 times in the New Testament. Could we have been given a clue to the true means of attaining peace and wholeness? Perhaps.

As always,  I want you to know that you are being held in the Light by everyone on the Corporate Board of Universal Brotherhood, and by our Founders, Rick and Jeni Prigmore. You are a vital part of this organization and as such we extend to you the warm embrace of genuine affection and caring; I hope you’re sensing it now!

May Grace allow you to rise higher and higher on this most special weekend of Easter and Passover blessings.

All my best,

Happy Valentine’s Day 2015

On this anniversary of Saint Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2015, let us come together as a community of like-minded ministers and seekers.  Let us embrace “love” as the ultimate gift, the ultimate exchange of personal energy.

Understanding we can only come from one of two places – love or fear – let us consciously choose to come from a place of love. Difficult though it sometimes is, if we “decide” to focus on love and become a resource in the world, we can accomplish that goal. Love is, after all, the ultimate reality and fulfills our purpose on Earth.

Please know that you are held in the hearts and the minds of not only the Founders of Universal Brotherhood, Rick and Jeni Prigmore, but every member of the Corporate Board, including our Administrator, Robin Morini. You are showered with love and genuine affection on a daily basis. Please embrace that love and share it with all of those who are near and dear to you and with all of those to whom you minister.

“Knowing that LOVE is the strongest power on EARTH, I willingly attune my heart, mind and body to love as I open myself to experience every aspect of this life I love living!”

 Happy Valentine’s Day!

 All my best,

 Rosemary Cathcart
