The Birth Of Universal Brotherhood University

For years UB Ministers had been asking for a way to move into a greater spiritual conscious awareness within the philosophical framework of Universal Brotherhood Movement. The reasoning was, "Universal Brotherhood denotes unconditional love and Oneness, but 'Movement' is an action term that implies growth, expansion and more ness".

In 1994 the time had arrived! The door to more freedom of awareness opened! The Corporate Board authorized formation of a guidance core to facilitate the birth of Universal Brotherhood University as a division of higher learning under the sponsorship of UB.

Nine UB ministers were chosen to develop and guide the project. Their primary concern was to maintain the UB philosophy: freedom of individual expression in an aura of non-judgment and unconditional love.

The details unfolded around that firm concept. Each applicant, under the loose guidance of a faculty "coach". will design a course of study or submission to the Board of Regents. The student will define personal goals and develop a vision statement as a springboard. The student will then outline a mission statement, activating vision through expanded growth and awareness.

A self-designed course of study will culminate in a written thesis. Upon presentation to the Board of Regents, the student will be awarded a Master of Divinity degree (M.Div).

Students can continue to further their growth awareness and service to the brotherhood of mankind by designing a doctoral program (D.Div.).

Mission Statement

It is the mission of Universal Brotherhood University to assist Universal Brotherhood ministers seeking spiritual growth through higher learning and to help them achieve their highest and best vision.

To accomplish this goal it is the intent and purpose of Universal Brotherhood University to supply direction, guidance and encouragement without restricting or inhibiting the uniqueness of the minister. The mission is to award academic degrees to those ministers who conceive, develop and complete self-designed studies which stimulate spiritual growth for that minister.

UBU allows us to take our next step, to light our dream and let our light shine for ourselves and in service to others.

UNIQUE COURSE DESIGN

UBU recognizes that you know how you wish to expand your spirituality in order to serve the brotherhood of mankind.

You decide your project and your pace to obtain your master of Divinity (M.Div) degree or your Doctor of Divinity (D.Div) degree. A UBU Faculty Coach offers one-on-one support from day one.

THE PROCESS

Most ministers find taking the initial step the hardest part of the program; the initial step is "deciding to do it," and applying for enrollment.

To begin, call, write or fax UBU President Reginald Worrell, Jr. He will help you with verbal assistance. You will then be mailed a packet with all the information you need.

Once over the hurdle, the entire universe seems to conspire to assist in the completion of your project and degree.
